By Hook or By Crook (Acrostic poem)
Boggs that sod used his child again, this
Year. He named him Extension Rod.
Handed Rod, a billhook, told him to use
On the highest limb severing, no excuse.
Only the sheriff saw, talked and allowed
Knowing Boggs' trade was the trees' bough
Oh, the Lord' knew every subject's working fame
Right down to each Boggs Rod child was named
Because you see, the Boggs were all wee
Yearly they came, most girls filled with glee
Children of Bogg's Shepardess' wife
Rugged but comely, placid, and genuinely nice
Overall, the Boggs family was doubly blessed
Only because they gave to the poor and oppressed
Keeping the needed and heaven's goal sharing the rest
