My God What do I See and critique by Nancy Ndeke
This poem, my dear Paula Shene ,beautifully expresses a deep reverence and devotion to the divine, invoking various names and attributes to convey a sense of awe and humility. The imagery of being embraced by eternal light and the willingness to serve with unconditional love adds depth to the spiritual journey depicted. Overall, it's a heartfelt ode to the Almighty, capturing the essence of faith and devotion.
MY GOD WHAT DO I SEE
Many names do I have for you
Almighty God, Allah
Author of all the Word
Architect of the Universe
Great Spirit in the Sky
And many more when I explore
You guide us to worship in the essence of our being and the purity of our beliefs.
What I must do when I seek your Word in our Holy Books
your Spirit must be upon me.
Enbibing your Spirit into my soul and ego, I dedicate my Spirit solely to you, my Lord.
I have only the hands to serve,
the willingness to help all within my ken, to shine your Unconditional love, for you are our love in all.
My heart seeks you to be embraced and consumed by your Eternal Light.
While my body may ache from the years on my flesh, my Spirit
remains eternal to serve you, my God.
I have stumbled and fell, yet you carried and put me to rights
I rested entirely upon you as I raced to catch or carry in all things, seeking only you.
My Light, my All, my Almighty God!
